Complaints
We are committed to providing a high quality legal service to our clients.
- If you are unhappy with the level of service provided, or any bill, please contact the person dealing with your matter or the partner responsible for your work (their name should be identified in our initial letter to you).
- We take complaints very seriously and will usually aim to deal with these as soon as possible but in any event within fourteen days. Occasionally this is not possible but if this is the case we will explain why.
- If you are a client of Access Legal from Shoosmiths and remain dissatisfied with our response, please contact or ask to be put in touch with Judith Dorkins, Head of Access Legal from Shoosmiths, at Quantum House, Basing View, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4EX, telephone 0370 866243. For all other complaints, please contact our Chairman Andrew Tubbs at The Lakes, Northampton NN4 7SH, telephone 0370 863244. Judith or Andrew will ensure that a further independent review is carried out either by themselves or another appropriate partner. We will then write to you with our final position.
- Once you have our final response you have the right to take your complaint to the Legal Complaints Service. A six month time limit usually applies. The Legal Complaints Service helpline number is 0845 608 6565 and the address is Victoria Court, 8 Dormer Place, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 5AE.
