Top level knowledge added as Shoosmiths' IT work grows

Shoosmiths has added high level IT knowledge to its Thames Valley commercial team as technology work continues to increase.

Associate Susan Atkinson brings years of IT, e-commerce and data protection experience to the national law firm, and also possesses specialist intellectual property knowledge.

She has worked with investment banks and financial services providers; and was an in-house lawyer in the technology finance division of investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort.  Susan has also worked with many organisations in the public sector, both in central and local government, and has worked closely with the Office of Government Commerce.

Shoosmiths is working with a number of major IT clients, including Hewlett-Packard.

The Reading commercial group, headed by partner Paul de Vince, advises clients in all areas of their technology procurement, marketing and sales activities.

de Vince said: “Susan joining us is part of a group strategy to move into higher value, more complex commercial work, which, given the experience she brings and the quality of our existing client base, is something we’re well placed to do.”
