Shoosmiths launches online HIPs

Shoosmiths has made its Home Information Pack (HIP) service available online.

The national law firm’s Online HIPs Service will cost from £275 inclusive of VAT.

Since last December every home for sale must have a Home Information Pack, which collates details such as a sale statement, local searches and evidence of title. Packs also include an Energy Performance Certificate with advice on how to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills.

They are aimed at providing key information needed by buyers and sellers at the very start of the home-buying process, making transactions more efficient and less likely to fall through between offer and exchange.

Shoosmiths’ online HIPs are:

• Timely - produced quickly and competitively. Online access details provided at point of order to satisfy the Regulations and Trading Standards.
• Reliable - prepared by established Solicitors providing conveyancing services to satisfy the buyer’s conveyancer.
• Recyclable - compiled for re-use in the conveyancing process minimising costs for sellers and buyers.
• Environmentally friendly - no need to print the components or hold copies in branch.
• Accessible - viewable online, or direct by potential buyers and their conveyancer.
• Flexible - accommodate additional documents required in the conveyancing process to aid the smooth flow of transactions.
