Shoosmiths backs Regus’ Get Started initiative with free legal helpline
12 June 2009
National law firm Shoosmiths has helped Regus – the leading global provider of innovative workspace solutions – set up a free legal helpline service for its customers, including those on its Get Started programme.
The five-day-a-week service, which was launched in March, is staffed by legally qualified call handlers with a proven track record in providing succinct advice in a wide range of legal areas.
The advice, which is initially free, is available between 9am – 5:30pm
Regus Group plc chief executive Mark Dixon said: “I’m delighted that we are able to work with Shoosmiths in this way, providing additional services to our thousands of UK clients, including our Get Started entrepreneurs.
“Get Started offers real support to Britain’s entrepreneurs who struggle to set-up on their own making. Free legal advice, together with everything else we’ve put in place, makes the challenge of launching a new venture a bit easier.”
Rose Donoghue, consumer services group partner at Shoosmiths, said: “This is an excellent new service and one that we’ve thoroughly enjoyed helping Regus to launch. We were especially pleased to be able to include businesses on Regus’ Get Started programme.
“It’s important companies do all they can to inject new activity into the economy; we’re doing our bit and hope others will follow.
“All call information is captured on our in-house developed call management system which is supported with the aid of sophisticated contact centre telephony. Customers using the service will benefit from extensive legal advice on all aspects of English law.”
Regus, a Shoosmiths’ client for the past four years, worked with commercial property specialist Alan Corcoran and Donoghue to establish the new initiative.
Backed by the British Chamber of Commerce, Get Started offers start up support to all qualifying UK businesses, an investment worth up to £10m by offering free use of its business centres. The initiative has proved popular and Regus has experienced strong interest.
