Loss of a loved one
The sudden or unexpected death of someone close is difficult to cope with. As well as your own questions, you may well find the Coroner asking questions about what happened. The difficulty is all the greater if you feel that the death was preventable.
Sometimes the Coroner is not told about a sudden death in cases where the family would welcome an Inquest. When someone close to you dies leaving questions about how and why it happened it is important to seek legal advice as soon as possible.
Beyond the possibility of an Inquest, you may still have many questions that need to be answered about medical treatment, or lack of it. We can advise you on what steps you can take to get answers.
If they reveal that the death should not have occurred then we can advise you on the rights of family, partners and dependents to compensation after a fatal accident.
Whatever has gone wrong we can advise and help you, you have a number of options which you will need to think about carefully before deciding what is right for you.
