Experienced board adviser with a focus on governance & mentoring

I sit on Shoosmiths’ Board and Partnership Council as a Non-Executive Director, bringing strategic oversight and governance expertise to the firm. My leadership is shaped by a commitment to mentoring, inclusion and responsible business, with a particular focus on supporting women in leadership.

Alongside this, I am Chair of Argenta Private Capital Limited, a NED of Ark Syndicate Management Limited and an external member of Oxford University’s Council.

Past roles: I was Lead Non Executive Board Member and Chair of the Board of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2017 (Appointed Chair in 2019) until July 2025. am a former Chair of The Mentoring Foundation (2015-2021) and former member of its Advisory Council (2021-2025). I was a NED on the Board of Talbot Underwriting Limited (part of AIG) and Chair of its Risk and Compliance Committee until November 2021. I am also a former NED of Channel 4 Corporation (2010-2016). I was Senior Partner of law firm Addleshaw Goddard (2010-2016), and a consultant there (2016/17). I was a Director of Prime, a charity promoting access to quality work experience in the legal profession (2012 - 2015), and was appointed a Recorder (Civil) in 2010.

I’m a member of several professional bodies and committees, with a particular interest in mentoring, governance and diversity in leadership.
