Abigail (“Abby”) is a Principal Associate specialising in real estate finance, with over a decade of experience advising borrowers and lenders on national and cross-border debt financings. Her expertise spans syndicated and bilateral loans across diverse industry sectors.
Abby specialises in acting for borrowers and lenders in the mid-market and privately owned business space, recognising that strong borrower–lender relationships are central to business growth. She brings a commercial, pragmatic approach to structuring finance solutions that align with strategic objectives.
Before joining Shoosmiths, Abby worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she developed particular expertise in finance and corporate legal issues arising in demergers and restructures of privately owned groups.

- Advising a privately owned property group with a £2.6bn portfolio on £900m debt facilities across five lenders, including Barclays, Eurobank and Aviva.
- Advising a Mayfair-based property group on an £8m LMA facility agreement to refurbish a Grade II listed property.
- Advising a large corporate borrower on a £28m multiple drawdown LMA facility for the redevelopment of a 1970s office building into a BREEAM “Excellent” certified workspace.
- Advising a major German bank on circa £75m lending to a corporate borrower for refinancing and acquisition of a property letting business.
