Senior associate delivering strategic employment law solutions
As a senior associate in the Shoosmiths’ Leeds office, I regularly advise on a wide range of employment law matters, covering both contentious and non-contentious issues.
I am an experienced litigator, regularly representing clients before the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. I manage a diverse caseload, with particular expertise in complex discrimination, whistleblowing, and sexual harassment matters. I conduct my own advocacy and handle my cases in a calm and sensitive manner. I have been successful in obtaining several costs awards from the Tribunal in favour of my clients.
I provide strategic advice on sensitive employee relations issues including disciplinaries and grievances, redundancies and restructuring exercises, restrictive covenants, complex grievance/sexual harassment investigations, senior exits and employee data breaches. I have a people focused approach and I provide pragmatic advice which is tailored to my clients’ commercial objectives.
I also regularly advise on the employment aspects of high value transactions, TUPE transfers and outsourcings.
I am dual qualified in Northern Ireland and I regularly provide support to clients in that jurisdiction.
