As a Technology and AI partner in Shoosmiths’ Commercial team, I have over 20 years’ experience helping clients to navigate the legal, regulatory and contractual issues around the procurement and outsourcing of business-critical IT and AI systems. I work closely with commercial and legal teams to deliver strategic technology transactions, specialising in complex, high-value technology and digital transformation projects in both the public and private sectors. As co-head of Shoomsiths AI Advisory team, I also advise clients on the implications of artificial intelligence and its emerging regulatory requirements, helping them to procure, govern and contract for AI in a way that manages risk whilst delivering the benefits of this transformational technology.

My work spans transactions for clients across the retail, financial services, automotive, healthcare and retail sectors. My experience also includes time spent on secondment with in-house legal teams, giving me a practical understanding of client priorities and commercial drivers.
