Privacy knowledge lawyer shaping data compliance and AI governance
As Shoosmiths’ dedicated Privacy & Data knowledge lawyer, I provide specialist research, training, and insight on global privacy and data protection compliance. My background includes serving as principal legal counsel for the cyber division of a major defence tech company, advising on early AI and data projects, data security, and supply chain control.
I regularly write on emerging technologies and support Shoosmiths’ internal AI governance, including policy development and AI literacy training. My experience spans anonymisation, privacy-enhancing technologies, law enforcement data processing, and managing cyber risks. I am passionate about making privacy principles practical and accessible for both clients and colleagues.
I serve on the AI Group Committee of the Society for Computers & Law and am a keen supporter of new entrants to the privacy profession, sharing knowledge through thought leadership and training.
