I head Shoosmiths’ Glasgow office as well as the Real Estate teams in Scotland and Northern Ireland and lead on complex real estate transactions across Scotland and the UK.

My work spans sector leading work in the UK wide build to rent sectors, PBSA, later living and care, residential housebuilding as well as commercial development and investment.

I act for developers, landowners, funders and investors, managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering layered legal advice across corporate, finance, tax and property matters.

I have also worked as Land and Legal Director at a national housebuilder, gaining hands-on experience in site appraisal, cashflow modelling, funding and deal structural.

I’ve advised on the structuring and delivery of multiple BTR funds as well as REITs, property joint ventures and new property investment and development vehicles. I have deep understanding of property related Islamic finance and Sharia’h-compliant real estate transactions and structures.. .

I’m a member of the Law Society of Scotland and contribute to Shoosmiths’ Living Sector strategy as market lead for the UK BTR sector.
