I lead Shoosmiths' national Asset Based Lending (ABL) team and the Banking & Finance team in the Midlands. Under my leadership, the ABL team has experienced significant national growth and development, with team mebers now covering all key regions.

With over 29 years of experience in invoice finance, asset-based lending, inventory and P&M finance, and distribution finance, I continue to maintain a robust national presence in the ABL industry and in banking more generally within the Midlands region

I manage and engage with numerous key relationships for Shoosmiths including Aurelius, Arbuthnot Latham, Shawbrook, Metro Bank and Investec.

I am accustomed to handling the ABL team’s most significant and complex transactions, whether bilateral or syndicated and whether national or international.

As well as being a transactional advisor, I am entrusted with numerous clients’ own account work and have collaborated closely with various lender legal teams to develop their precedent lending and security documentation - with nine active ABLs now working on documents developed by the team.

I contribute to ABL industry conversations including with industry bodies and memberships, whether by way of training, ad hoc guidance on issues such as commissions and future proofing the legal framework under which the industry operates.
