I’m a Partner in Shoosmiths’ Real Estate team, dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales, with 20 years’ experience advising housebuilders, landowners and developers. I specialise in residential and other living sector developments, including housebuilding, student accommodation, complex option agreements, joint ventures and strategic land deals. Recent highlights include advising on the sale of a £58m student accommodation development, completing an option agreement for a battery storage development,  advising a variety of plc housebuilders on site acquisitions across Scotland and advising a developer on a strategic land deal for a 250 acre site for the development of 1000 new homes.

Before joining Shoosmiths in 2021, I built a strong track record in commercial property development, investment acquisitions and renewable energy schemes. My experience spans waste-to-energy, retail, and mixed-use developments, where I’ve helped clients navigate title complexities and deliver commercially sound outcomes.

I’m a member of both the Law Society of Scotland and the Law Society of England & Wales, and I’m known for my pragmatic approach and ability to simplify complex legal issues to support client goals.
