Paralegal (MCILEX) Business Crime and Regulatory | Licensing Expertise
I am a Paralegal in Shoosmiths’ Business Crime and Regulatory team, specialising in licensing matters under the Licensing Act 2003. I advise national retail, leisure, and food & drink clients on applications, objections, hearings, and appeals, and I frequently negotiate agreements with responsible authorities to achieve effective outcomes.
I regularly collaborate with leading licensing barristers and provide cross-departmental advice on licensing issues. I take a practical, client-focused approach to every matter.
Additionally, I have supported high-profile inquiries and inquests, including the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, where I reviewed extensive documentation and worked closely with our internal legal team and external barristers. My experience also includes criminal defence and prosecution matters, giving me a broad understanding of complex regulatory issues.
