As a Partner in Shoosmiths’ Real Estate team, I am dual-qualified and widely recognised for my extensive experience in the build to rent (BTR) market. Over the past decade, I have been closely involved in many of the UK’s most significant living-sector transactions. This includes advising on more than 70 site acquisitions for PRS REIT from its launch in 2017 through to its sale in 2025, where I also led on the property aspects of the disposal. I have also acted on multiple landmark portfolio transactions, including three major disposals comprising hundreds of homes with individual deal values exceeding £140 million to investors such as Goldman Sachs and Lloyds Living.

I work with a broad spectrum of clients — institutional investors, major developers, joint ventures, lenders and emerging market entrants — helping them unlock opportunities, manage risk and deliver projects at pace. My practice spans the full lifecycle of real estate assets across residential, logistics, industrial and retail. I am particularly experienced in investment acquisitions, large-scale disposals and structured financings.

Beyond my client work, I am actively involved in the wider real estate and legal communities. I sit on the committee of the ARL Scottish branch and regularly contribute thought leadership to industry publications on developments and trends within the BTR sector.
