I specialise in high-value, international commercial disputes, often with a focus on technology.

I also lead Shoosmiths' contentious cyber practice, comprising incident response and related data disputes.

I am dual-recommended by Legal 500 2025 for both Commercial Litigation and Data Protection, Privacy, and Cybersecurity. The FT recently included my work as some of "the most innovative in the technology sector in Europe" (FT Innovation Awards 2024).

Recent experience includes:

• Acting for a consortium of private equity fund clients defending specialist rectification proceedings.

• Leading two technology companies' defences to fraudulent misrepresentation and conspiracy proceedings.

• Leading the emergency response to a data exfiltration incident of a financial services company, leading to c. 500,000 notifications to stakeholders and law enforcement. Defending actions to trial.

• Acting in the aftermath of other major data incidents, including a ransomware attack on a property management company and the compromise of fund data relating to several international banks.

• Securing determinations before experts for clients in the technology and green energy sectors following earn-out disputes arising from complex corporate acquisitions.

• Greenslade & Ors v Everbridge Inc & Anor, KBD (Commercial Court), CL-2022-000203 - defence of c. $80m proceedings relating to the alleged failure to convert loan notes to equity following a corporate acquisition.

• Experian PLC v Zurich Insurance PLC & Ors, QBD (Commercial Court), CL-2020-000670 - leading insurers' defence of c. $90m claims against a $140m tower of insurance allegedly arising from underlying cyber breaches in the US.
