Employment partner solving complex people challenges
I lead Shoosmiths’ Nottingham office and advise national and local employers on the full spectrum of employment law. I’m known for pragmatic, emotionally intelligent and results-driven advice—particularly on senior exits, restructures, whistleblowing, and HR-related data protection. I also defend complex Employment Tribunal claims and regularly act as advocate in hearings. I work in absolute partnership with my HR and senior management client teams.
Since joining Shoosmiths in 2013, I’ve led on sensitive, multi-disciplinary matters involving employment, charity law and defamation. I’ve advised a major charity boards, and recently defended claims involving whistleblowing, race discrimination and unfair dismissal claims. I also lead our national employment Mobility sub-group and sit on our national IR35, Data Protection and Financial Services sub-groups.
I founded Shoosmiths’ LGBT+ staff network, PROUD, and am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. I’ve been consistently recognised by Chambers UK and Legal 500 for my strategic insight and client-first approach.
