I am a Partner in Shoosmiths Pensions team and advise employers and trustees of occupational pension schemes on all aspects of pensions law as well as dealing with pensions issues on corporate transactions. I also advise employers on compliance with their obligations to enrol employees into a workplace pension.

I have been advising on pensions matters for over 25 years and my work includes a mix of advising on the day-to-day governance of schemes, drafting scheme documentation, responding to member complaints and working on one-off projects such a scheme mergers and employer restructuring. I have particular experience in risk management projects such as buy-ins and buyouts.

I pride myself on condensing complex legal issues affecting pension schemes into clear, straightforward advice, helping my clients understand and effectively manage their schemes. I help clients understand and mitigate the legal risks they face and find commercial, pragmatic solutions  giving clear recommendations as to the way forward.
