I’m a Solicitor Apprentice at Shoosmiths, based in Birmingham. I joined the firm in 2024 as part of a six-year programme that combines work-based learning with academic study, leading to qualification as a solicitor.

I spend four days a week gaining hands-on experience across our commercial, banking & finance, corporate, litigation, and real estate teams. One day a week is dedicated to studying law and legal practice.

I’m also gaining insight into business support functions including marketing, innovation, risk, and finance—building a well-rounded understanding of how legal services are delivered in a modern firm.
