I’m a legal director in the Shoosmiths’ Corporate Restructuring and Advisory team, based in Manchester. I advise on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters, including administrations, receiverships, liquidations and CVAs. I act for insolvency practitioners, banks and financial institutions and boards of directors, helping them navigate complex restructuring and insolvency challenges.

Before joining Shoosmiths in 2019, I spent eight years at a global law firm, where I advised on high-profile retail insolvencies including BHS, Toys R Us, Bargain Booze and Direct Golf. I qualified in 2010 and was promoted to senior associate before then joining Shoosmiths as a principal associate. Since joining Shoosmiths, I have been predominantly working on contentious insolvency matters. Most notably I have worked on and managed a complex high-profile Transaction at Undervalue claim, acting for the liquidators of Somerfields Stores Limited, against Co-op food group. I was promoted to Legal Director at Shoosmiths in March 2025.

I’m a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and known for my pragmatic, commercially focussed advice across both transactional and contentious matters.
