As a Partner in Shoosmiths’ Pensions team, I advise employers, trustees and public bodies. The advice I give ranges from issues relating to automatic enrolment to bulk transfers between pension schemes, buy-ins, buyouts and issues which apply only to public service pension schemes.

My expertise includes supporting clients through complex restructurings, regulatory challenges and risk management.

I am recognised in national directories as a specialist who is good to work with and who is able to explain complex legal points in a clear, practical way, helping clients focus on commercial outcomes.

My recent work includes advising trustee and employer clients on scheme rationalisation, buy-in projects, scheme mergers and providing strategic as well as technical advice in relation to their participation in public service pension schemes.

I am a full member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and an active contributor to LexisNexis (particularly its PSL service) and PLC.  I am fluent in Portuguese.
