Phil is a Senior Associate in the emerging companies and venture capital team, advising founders, investors and high-growth companies on matters ranging from corporate governance to equity financings and strategic transactions. He has broad experience advising clients across the SaaS, deep tech, fintech and healthtech sectors.

Recent highlights include advising:

• Gresham House Ventures on its equity investment in ASK BOSCO (Modo25 Limited);
• Portage Ventures on its first Fund IV equity investment into a UK entity;
• Amadeus Capital Partners, Edge Ventures and Symvan Capital on their equity investment into Pimloc Limited;
• Committed Capital on its equity investment into a retail tech company; and
• Octopus Ventures on a follow-on investment in Ufonia Limited

Phil qualified in New Zealand in 2017, having previously worked as in-house counsel at an open-source software company and earlier at a leading boutique corporate, commercial and technology law firm in Wellington.
