A trusted adviser to charities, guiding trustees through legal and regulatory change
I specialise in charity law at Shoosmiths, supporting trustees and organisations through governance, regulatory, and transactional matters. My work covers the full charity lifecycle—from establishing new entities and managing mergers to advising on regulatory engagement and complex collaborations. Recent highlights include advising on governance for national charities and supporting the creation of corporate foundations.
Prior to joining Shoosmiths, I developed my expertise in charity and social enterprise law, working with a diverse range of clients on constitutional, regulatory, and commercial issues. My approach is collaborative, working closely with colleagues across employment, commercial, and real estate to deliver integrated solutions.
I am a member of the Charity Law Association and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, and chair Shoosmiths’ Manchester charity committee. I am committed to supporting the sector through training, thought leadership, and practical, outcome-focussed advice.
