I’m a Partner in Shoosmiths’ Real Estate team, advising landlords, tenants, investors and developers on commercial leasing and property strategy. I head up the Corporate Occupier team in Scotland with a particular focus on retail work, having acted for some of the country's largest retailers for over 25 years. I’ve led on high-value transactions including a £380 million portfolio reorganisation, investment purchases and sales and acquisitions for national retailers and leisure operators.

Since joining Shoosmiths in 1998, I’ve developed a reputation for pragmatic, client-focussed advice. My work spans acquisitions, disposals and estate management, with a strong emphasis on understanding each client’s business goals and delivering tailored legal solutions.

I co-authored ‘Commercial Leases’ (Bloomsbury Professional), advised the RICS on the Scottish Code of Practice for Service Charges, and sit on the Law Society of Scotland’s specialist accreditation panel for commercial leasing.
