A seasoned regulatory lawyer, trusted for her insight and landmark case experience
I’m a Senior Associate in Shoosmiths’ regulatory team, specialising in health and safety prosecutions and complex regulatory matters, both contentious and non contentious. My work spans sectors including transport, construction ,real estate, environmental and retail, and I’ve acted in cases involving maximum severity injuries and fatalities. I have also advised regulatory bodies on maritime legislation and navigation byelaws, and have worked on major public inquiries including Grenfell and Covid 19 and on major inquests, including the Croydon tram crash.
I have advised and represented the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory bodies in prosecutions and trained HSE Inspectors on health and safety law. I’ve dealt with cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and House of Lords, including a landmark case on PUWER Regulations. My background includes extensive experience in employer and public liability defence work.
I’m a long-standing member of Shoosmiths, having qualified in 1985 and worked here for over 30 years. I continue to support the firm’s regulatory practice with deep sector knowledge and a commitment to excellence.
