Driving strategic workforce solutions for high-profile clients in complex employment landscapes
I am a Senior Associate in Shoosmiths’ Employment team, advising clients across consumer and retail, mobility, technology and living sectors. My role spans strategic client work, mentoring junior colleagues and shaping how we deliver employment law services that make a real difference. I also contribute externally as a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Equalities Sub-Committee and internally through initiatives that strengthen collaboration and growth.
My work focuses on employment law, with particular expertise in discrimination, equal pay and TUPE. I have advised on complex collective consultations, defended high-stakes discrimination claims and represented clients in multi-million-pound equal pay litigation. Recent matters include advising a fashion retailer on TUPE transfer of services overseas, defending a public sector employer in a 10-day hearing involving trade union blacklisting and pursuing expenses applications post-hearing. I am recognised as Rising Star of the Year (Scottish Legal Awards 2024), Highly Commended Associate of the Year (The Lawyer Awards 2025) and Associate to Watch (Chambers and Partners 2026). I also share thought leadership through articles and client briefings on emerging employment law trends.
I am passionate about driving positive change, whether that is helping clients navigate complex workforce challenges or evolving how we work as a firm. I contribute to initiatives around social mobility and inclusion, mentoring students in partnership with MCR Pathways, and volunteer as a supervising solicitor at the University of Edinburgh’s Free Legal Advice Clinic. What matters most to me is delivering advice that is legally robust, commercially smart and human, while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
