I lead Shoosmiths’ Manchester office and am a partner in our Corporate Restructuring & Advisory team. I advise banks, asset-based lenders, turnaround professionals and directors on all aspects of financial distress, from board-level duties to complex restructurings. My recent work includes high-profile assignments for Joules, Debenhams, Monarch Aircraft Engineering and Moss Bros.

Since joining Shoosmiths, I’ve built a reputation for strategic advice in retail and healthcare restructurings, including CVAs, administrations and distressed lending. I also advise on contentious matters such as antecedent transactions and wrongful trading, with experience in reported cases and multi-party disputes.

I’m recognised in Chambers UK for my outstanding client service and commitment to going the extra mile. I contribute to Shoosmiths’ restructuring thought leadership and regularly advise on insolvency strategy, distressed M&A and creditor negotiations.
