Shoosmiths has advised longstanding client Livingbridge on its backing of Elevare Software Group ("Elevare"), a new software platform.

Founded by David Lockie and Elona Mortimer-Zhika, the transaction included acquisitions of Rubixx and Voicescape, two leading technology providers to UK landlords.

Elevare has been set up to assist ambitious software and tech-enabled services businesses to scale, drawing on Lockie and Mortimer-Zhika’s track record of growing software businesses. Rubixx and Voicescape will anchor a new housing technology ecosystem.

Rubixx provides a cloud-native housing management platform that helps social landlords manage compliance, safety and operational performance. Voicescape uses behavioural science, data analytics and automation to help housing providers improve resident engagement, rent collection and regulatory compliance. Together, the businesses support housing providers responsible for millions of homes across the UK.

The wider transaction was led by Corporate Partner Daniel Shilvock – with the equity investment being run by Corporate Partner Holly Hirst, Senior Associate Alice Richmond and Associate Jasmine Dhillon; the acquisition of Voicescape was led by Corporate Partner Andrew Jennings and Senior Associate Hugh White, alongside Associates Sarah Palmer and Hannah Jones; and the acquisition of Rubixx was led by Principal Associate Sarah Mitchell and Senior Associate Melissa Gray, supported by Associate Uzoma Udoyeh.
