Shoosmiths has advised long-standing clients Olympian Homes and Housing Growth Partnership (HGP) on the refinancing of the senior debt secured against Centre Court, a 790-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Nottingham.
Published: 6 July 2026
The successful refinancing marks an important milestone in the evolution of the development, providing a strong platform for the asset to continue to mature and generate long-term value.
Centre Court is a landmark purpose-built student accommodation asset, and the refinancing reflects the continued confidence in both the scheme and its long-term potential. The transaction supports the next phase of the project as the development continues to establish itself within the Nottingham student accommodation market.
Shoosmiths has worked closely with Olympian Homes and HGP over a number of years and previously advised on the original development financing of the scheme in 2023. Building on that relationship, the real estate finance team was delighted to support both clients once again on this latest transaction.
Sheelagh Cooley, Partner and Co-Head of Real Estate Finance, commented: "After acting on the initial development loan, we are delighted to have been able to support Olympian and HGP with this next phase of the project. We value our longstanding relationships with both clients and look forward to seeing the continued success of Centre Court."
This latest instruction further demonstrates Shoosmiths' strong track record in advising developers, investors, lenders and funding partners across the living sector, supporting clients through the full lifecycle of a project from development financing through to refinancing and stabilisation.
Congratulations to Olympian Homes, HGP, Affinius Capital and all those involved in the successful completion of the transaction.
