Shoosmiths has advised the shareholder of Phoenix ME Limited (“Phoenix ME”), a leading provider of integrated mechanical and electrical engineering system design, installation and commissioning services, on an investment by H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative assets investment firm.

Founded in 1931, Phoenix ME has developed a strong industry reputation among its core client base of data centre, life sciences and commercial end markets for its high quality and reliable service. The investment will support the acceleration of Phoenix ME’s growth strategy, strengthening its position in high-growth sectors like data centres and expanding its presence across the UK and Europe.

Shoosmiths advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including Phoenix ME CEO Lee Compton’s reinvestment in the business. The team was led by Partner Amit Nayyar and supported by Partner Claire Checketts, Principal Associate Sarah Mitchell, Senior Associate Alice Richmond, Associate Jake Bowdler and Associate Georgia Edmondson.
