On 24 February 2026, more than 150 colleagues across the firm joined together in a collective fast to honour and support our Muslim colleagues.

We ended the day by sharing the iftar meal, creating a moment of unity that reflected our values and our commitment to an inclusive and supportive culture. To recognise this collective effort, the firm has made a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee in support of its humanitarian work.

Senior associate Sadia Hussain:
“Watching my colleagues fast in solidarity reminded me how powerful empathy can be. Their willingness to learn and feel what we, as Muslims, feel during Ramadan made me feel honoured, supported, and truly seen. Sharing food, learning more about each other on a personal level, and reflecting on the challenges of fasting is what makes this initiative so important to me.”
Partner and Head of Northampton Office, Suman Dally:
“It was quite special to share the fast with everyone and learn more about the meaning of Ramadan and the purpose behind fasting. I found it both humbling and inspiring. I have joined many Eid celebrations but had never taken part in the fast itself. Thank you for allowing us to briefly share that moment, to pause, reflect, and feel part of the community.”
Director of Projects & Innovation Tom Slate found the experience a humbling one: “It was a humbling opportunity to try, in a small way, to walk a mile in the shoes of those who observe Ramadan. I was also struck by the strong charitable aspect of Ramadan and the emphasis on thinking about others who face hardship every day.”
This event created space for colleagues to come together, learn from one another and share meaningful experiences strengthening the connections that help everyone celebrate their identities. The collective fast and iftar embodied our value of being ourselves by encouraging open conversations, mutual respect and genuine understanding. By standing alongside our Muslim colleagues, we supported an environment where people feel able to express who they are and know that their lived experiences are recognised and valued across the firm.
