Shoosmiths has advised the selling shareholders and management of Skyrise Intelligence (“Skyrise”), a leading UK ad-tech business, on the sale of the group to TapTap Digital, the global location intelligence and audience activation platform.

Published: 16 September 2026

Founded in the UK, Skyrise has built a strong reputation for helping advertisers and agencies plan, buy and measure media more effectively through anonymised network intelligence, location data, transactional insights and real-world behavioural patterns. The business enables brands to reach audiences more accurately while improving campaign performance across multiple channels.

The deal, which also includes a reinvestment by certain sellers into TapTap Digital, marks a significant milestone for both businesses, supporting TapTap Digital's European growth ambitions and bringing together audience design, location intelligence, omnichannel activation and AI-powered advertising capabilities. The transaction also reflects growing investor appetite for technology businesses that combine data, analytics and artificial intelligence to deliver measurable outcomes for customers.

Shoosmiths advised Skyrise on all aspects of transaction. The team was led by Partners Dan Shilvock and Claire Checketts, and Legal Directors Katie Yorke and Rosie Hendon, with support from Sam Naunton, Adam Smith, Paige Richardson and Oliver Reed-Daunter (Corporate); Sherif Malak and Christian Cockcroft (Data Protection); Laura Board and Caroline Airey (Tax); Jen Anderson and Dan Sharman (Incentives); and Amy Frost, Jessica Pearson and Eliza Moore (Employment).

Daniel Shilvock, Partner in Shoosmiths’ corporate team, said:

The transaction highlights the continued strength of the UK technology sector and the increasing volume of cross-border deals involving innovative growth businesses. Shoosmiths is proud to be at the forefront of this trend, supporting technology companies, founders and investors on strategic transactions. Congratulations to all involved.”

Since founding the business, our focus has always been on helping brands and agencies make smarter decisions through privacy-conscious data and actionable insights. We are incredibly proud of what the team has built and the reputation we have established in the market.
