Shared & Halved - Re-vitalising the high street - Towns Fund Guidance

With many of the UK’s once thriving town centres facing economic demise and a sharp decline in retail tenants, exacerbated by the global pandemic, we hosted a webinar where we summarised the recently published guidance from the government in relation to the £3.6bn Towns Fund which is intended to drive sustainable economic regeneration of towns across the UK.

During this session we looked in detail at what the Guidance says and what needs to be done to get access to the funding; described our experience of driving town centre regeneration schemes, particularly through use of CPO powers, and finally at new ways that the public and private sector can work together to bring schemes to fruition. Follow up conversations are now happening to look at how local authorities can start to get under the skin of schemes to reinvent and reinvigorate our town centres with greater collaboration between the public and private sectors. Listen to the webinar below to find out more.
