Cloud concentration risk within the Financial Services sector is very much a hot topic and under the close scrutiny of the financial services regulators. The reliance on AWS, Azure and Google is rightly highlighted as an operational resilience risk. However the additional potential attack vectors associated with placing an organisation's data across the separate infrastructure of multiple cloud providers must also give financial institution security teams sleepless nights. However, neither security nor operational resilience come easy...as loaded up my Starling card this afternoon for a forthcoming holiday, I can perhaps rest easier, knowing that Starling has done what it can to ensure I can access euros as and when I need them.
