Procurement Bill hits Report Stage

The Procurement Bill has passed the Committee Stage in the House of Commons and is headed for the Report Stage, with a date yet to be announced.

The progression through Parliament means that once secondary legislation has been published and the anticipated six month lead in period has been completed the "go live" date is likely in Spring 2024.

This means that procurements, and any challenges to such procurements, that take place before this date will be subject to the existing rules.

We will be providing further updates on the new Bill and its likely impact in the next instalments of our bitesize podcast series Public Procurement Post-Brexit coming soon.
