New joint heads for Shoosmiths Northampton office

UK law firm Shoosmiths has announced new co-heads for its Northampton office effective 1 May 2021 when conveyancing partner David Parton will relinquish the role to head-up the firm’s Personal Advisory Division.

Suman DallySuman Dally, who will also head up Shoosmiths residential conveyancing practice, and Sharine Burgess, recently promoted partner specialising in serious injury claims, will take on the leadership role in the Lakes office jointly.

Suman boasts more than 25 years’ experience working with some of the UK’s largest estate agents and banking institutions. The large residential conveyancing team based in Northampton deals with all types of residential conveyancing including the sale and purchase of houses, flats, new build homes, part exchange, relocation work, shared ownership and transfers of equity and re-mortgage.

Sharine BurgessSharine was appointed president of the Northamptonshire Law Society in July 2019 and promoted to partner in 2020 in recognition of her outstanding work on behalf of claimants and their families in a wide range of serious injury cases. Sharine’s work in the local community with the Northampton and District Citizens Advice Bureau Pro Bono Clinic and organising concerts for the Northampton Singing 4 Breathing group to support COPD sufferers are also well known.

Suman commented: “I am delighted that Sharine will be joining me in heading up Shoosmiths longest established office and look forward to working with her on our many local community initiatives.”
