Shoosmiths adds new Director of Projects & Innovation

Shoosmiths has appointed a new Director of Projects & Innovation as it continues to drive its strategic change agenda to lead the upper midmarket law firms.

Tom Slate joins from Clifford Chance, where he was the firm’s Global Director responsible for driving change in the delivery of legal and business processes. He played a major role in developing and implementing their award-winning Innovation strategy, focused on client service improvement and delivery. 

Tom is passionate about driving change and innovation in the legal industry and brings with him a wealth of experience in the legal sector. At Shoosmiths, Tom will lead the firm’s Projects & Innovation team that seeks to lead and embed change in a competitive market.

Tom’s appointment follows on the heels of the appointment of Tom Speller as director of Shoosmiths EIGHT Connected Services and investment in a newly formed Client Technology and Service Improvement directorate.

As the firm continues to drive its innovation agenda it is also creating an Innovation Centre, which will see an opportunity for its people across the business to be seconded into the centre. The aim of the Innovation Centre is to drive client-focused, business-led solutions that deliver new solutions and products, continue to improve service levels and develop innovation skills across a broad range of the business.
