UK law firm Shoosmiths has advised client iSAMS Limited, the schools management information system (MIS) provider, in the sale of its entire issued share capital to the IRIS Software Group.
iSAMS provides management information system solutions to 500 UK independent schools and over 500 international schools across 80 countries and complements IRIS’ existing 11,000+ school customers.
IRIS’ investment and sector expertise will help iSAMS achieve further growth and place the combined operation at heart of school management, automating routine, but complex, operational tasks such as finance, HR and payroll, while increasing engagement with parents, improving reporting and helping to build valuable relationships.
The Shoosmiths corporate team, Paul Batchelor assisted by corporate senior associate Nick Little and corporate associate Alice Sedgley, drew on expertise across the firm in commercial, tax and employment law to meet a challenging timetable and complex agreements. The shareholders were advised by Grant Thornton.
