Shoosmiths has been named as a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Public Sector Legal Services Framework, following a competitive tender process.
The law firm has been appointed to the General Service Provision Lot 2 in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on the CCS Public Sector Legal Services Framework (RM6240).
Although Shoosmiths has been appointed to the CCS previously, this is the first time that Northern Ireland has been included as part of its remit.
The CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. The Legal Services Framework enables a variety of public sector organisations across the UK to access legal expertise through a robust framework agreement.
Public bodies are now able to instruct Shoosmiths on areas including property and construction, social housing, planning and environment, litigation/dispute resolution and employment.
Shoosmiths’ partners Kathryn Jump and Lisa Tye, who jointly head Shoosmiths Planning and Environment team, are nominated Supplier Relationship Managers for the CCS Framework. Appointment to the framework is for a period of three years with an option to extend by a further 12 months.
Kathryn Jump said: “We are delighted to be re-appointed to the CCS Framework and to continue working closely with our local authority and wider public sector clients.”
