Belfast colleagues organise gift hampers for MACS charity

The Belfast office is currently partnered with MACS which helps children and young people who haven’t had a fair deal.

Christmas can often be a difficult time for one reason or another and so the Belfast Community Investment Programme committee recently decided to organise a donation of gift hampers for the charity to distribute. Colleagues kindly volunteered by purchasing items and packing and wrap the hampers each with about £40 worth of items – dressing gown, gift set, a quiz game, sweets/ chocolate/ crackers, a £10.00 Tesco voucher, a Santa hat, socks, face wipes, hair gel and a Christmas card.

The 10 hampers were delivered to MACS on the 13 December 2018.

Roz Tate, MACS finance manager said ‘Thank you so much on behalf of our young people. The beautiful boxes delivered from Shoosmiths Belfast are so gratefully received.The managers from each area have been trying to ensure they are given to those young people most in need this Christmas. We also loved the idea so much the teams are copying the boxes so we can give to more young people.’
