CTU team advises Women for Women International Charity regarding their perfume “In Peace”

Constituting 70% of the world’s poor, women are disproportionately affected by conflict.

Women for Women International (WFW) helps women survivors of war rebuild their lives and since 1993 has invested in more than 300,000 women in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan, enabling them to move from victim, to survivor, to active citizen.

WFW offers knowledge and the resources that ultimately contribute to the political and economic health of their communities. In its 19-year history, the organisation has distributed over £58m in direct aid and micro credit loans, and has helped more than 1.4m family members.

Perfumer Azzi Glasser was inspired by the charity to create a fragrance to “remind the wearer of how they have contributed to these amazing womens’ lives around the world.”

Our CTU team was recommended to advise WFW in relation to the design and launch of the perfume – In Peace – and its joint venture with Space.NK to sell it exclusively in Europe and the US. All work was carried out on as pro bono basis and there is more to come!

Last night (19 April 2012), Space.NK founder Nicky Kinnaird officially launched the perfume, at the Space.NK store, opposite Harrods, in Knightsbridge.

Gary Assim was on hand to meet everyone involved and help celebrate the collaborative work. Vicki Duvivie and Jo Joyce have also been heavily involved throughout the process.

10% of net profits from the sale of each bottle will go directly to WFW’s sponsorship programme, which helps women survivors of war to rebuild their lives and promote peaceful communities.
