Nottingham colleagues spend the afternoon with Improving Lives and service users at Wollaton Park

Eight Nottingham office colleagues volunteered with local charity partner Improving Lives on 16 April 2019.

Deborah Gordon-Brown, office head and chair of the office Community Investment Programme Committee explained:

"We enjoyed a great afternoon with the team at Improving Lives and a group of their service users today. We took a trip by minibus to Wollaton Park in Nottingham. We had a slow walk around the park taking in the beautiful scenery and the wildlife including the deer. We finished the afternoon with afternoon tea in the courtyard of the house."

Comments from attending service users included:

"I love the fact that I got out of the house. Shoosmiths staff were all really nice and made an effort to talk to us."

"It was good to get out."

"I loved it, really enjoyed seeing the nature. 10 out of 10."

"It was wonderful. Lovely to sit and have tea and cake when the weather got a bit chilly. I really enjoy these trips. A big thank you."
