Partnering with Caledonian Thebans RFC

Following the success of sponsoring Reading Renegades for two years, we’re excited to share a new sponsorship, which is a joint effort between the Proud Network and our Edinburgh office.

The Thebans - which includes Fraser Borowski, Design Executive, in its squad and who discusses his personal pride in representing the team below - is an inclusive rugby club based near our Edinburgh office, providing specialist community rugby provision with a focus on the LGBT+ community. As an inclusive club, they don’t only focus on LGBT+ inclusion, but look at inclusion across the board; they are proactive in removing or mitigating barriers to playing rugby.

Fraser said: “Our firm’s sponsorship provides Caledonian Thebans RFC with coaching, kits, and updated equipment. The firm supports the development of a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people in Scottish rugby. As someone who struggles a lot with my mental health the support I get from the Thebans on and off the pitch has been life changing for me. So, for the firm to now be supporting the team feels amazing and I couldn’t be more thankful!”

Chair of our Proud Network, Michael Briggs said: “I’m so pleased that, once again, our Proud Network and the firm can continue to support and promote inclusivity in sport and recognise the LGBT+ sporting activities in and around our office network.”
