In Northampton 250 Easter eggs were purchased and a further 210 were donated by staff thereby helping Northamptonshire County Council Easter Egg Challenge to collect 7,003 eggs. As Jeanette Walsh, Northamptonshire County Council explained ‘Some of the Easter eggs have gone to our four children’s homes, across the county, some of them have gone to families we are currently working with in Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, and Daventry and of course Northampton. Because we reached our target I was able to give some Easter eggs to our children and young people who are looked after by our County, also to our young people who have left our care and continue to use our services.’ She added ‘It’s really great when you can put a little smile on children’s faces especially when they see you have brought them a little Easter egg, they are so pleased.’
Milton Keynes colleagues donated 70 Easter eggs to enable Milton Keynes Council to distribute them to children in their care.
During the week before Easter a Fortnum and Mason hamper was top prize for a Birmingham office daily raffle trolley. Colleagues are busy raising funds for the grand It’s a Knock Out Day planned for St Mary’s Hospice in early May 2018.
