Shoosmiths Supports TLC Launch of new Domestic Violence Prevention Programme

Anna Callaghan, Head of Domestic Abuse Services at TLC: Talk, Listen, Change recently organised a Domestic Violence Prevention Programme 10 year celebration event which included the launch of a new programme in Salford at the Shoosmiths Manchester office.

‘On 10th July 2018, TLC: Talk, Listen, Change, enjoyed complimentary use of a meeting room in the wonderful offices at Shoosmiths, Manchester. The celebration event marked 10 years of service delivery of the Bridging to Change Domestic Violence Prevention Programme, which helps men and women who have been violent or abusive in their intimate relationships to change their behaviour, whilst offering their partners/ex partners and children support. This also marked the launch of delivery of the programme in Salford. The service has so far reached 429 men who have engaged with the programme and made contacted with over 600 women to offer additional support.

Attending the event were the TLC Chief Executive, and over 60 attendees, which included services/Commissioners from across Greater Manchester including Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Salford Women’s Centre, The Jewish Federation, Drug and Alcohol services, Greater Manchester Mental Health Support, Collaborative Women, The Broughton Trust and Greater Manchester Combined Authority to name a few.

The day was certainly heightened by the amazing facilities offered by Shoosmiths, plenty of tea, coffee, prosecco and cakes and the friendly support of the lovely reception team. Such hospitality really supported TLC to deliver our event and ensure all our supporters, colleagues and Commissioners were able to engage with the event. Our thanks indeed to Shoosmiths for providing this amazing environment for us to celebrate our services in Central Manchester.’

We look forward to welcoming the team again.
