Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge completed on 7 July 2018 in aid of the British Heart Foundation

On 7 July 2018, Nancy Woolgar, a conveyancer in our Lakes office and a friend took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. As Nancy explained ‘It is a charity that has done a lot for me personally and my friend has had family members affected by Heart Disease.

We took on 24 miles of walking, 1500 metres of ascent which included the peaks, Pen Y Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 Metres) and we only had 12 hours to complete this in. It took us exactly 12 hours starting at 6am and crossing the finishing line at 6pm, it was also 25 degrees with very little cloud cover, it was HOT.

It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but to see the sponsorship and support from family, friends and colleagues has been amazing and certainly helped us keep putting one foot in front of the other.’
