Adam is a corporate principal associate based in the Thames Valley office.
Adam has experience in a range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, private equity investment and reorganisations, but specialises in venture, growth capital, SEIS and VCT investments with particular focus on advising institutional investors. His work and reputation in the venture capital space has seen him consistently engaged with new and existing investors.
Adam’s recent experience includes:
- Advising BGF:
- on its investment into Miracle Design and Play Limited, a company specialising in the design and installation of children's playgrounds for the housebuilding sector;
- on its further investment and refinancing relating to Kocho, a high-growth managed service provider which supports mid-market companies transitioning to the Cloud;
- Advising YFM:
- on its investment into UK distributor and lessor of forklift trucks, Stacatruc;
- on its investment into SaaS based employee engagement, survey and insights platform, WorkBuzz;
- Advising Downing LLP on its establishment of their funeral homes investment platform and acquisition of funeral home Grassby & Sons;
- Advising Onecom Limited, a LDC backed, UK leading telephony and cloud communications provider in respect of many bolt-on acquisitions, including:
- Daly Systems;
- Excalibur Communications;
- IMS Technology Services;

- Advising Mercia Asset Management on its investment into:
- Centuro Global Limited, a company that provides a cloud-based platform for global mobility and immigration services;
- iOpt Holdings Limited, a company that offers smart sensor technology for landlords and property managers to monitor the condition of their buildings;
- MIP Discovery Limited, a biotech company that develops novel molecularly imprinted polymers for drug discovery and diagnostics applications;
- Advising Foresight Group on its investment into:
- Kluster Enterprises Limited, a data analytics platform for B2B sales teams;
- EM Scientific Limited (t/a Inoviv), a developer of biomarker-based diagnostics for chronic diseases;
- Live Group Holdings, a provider of digital engagement solutions for events and communications;
- Advising NVM Private Equity on its acquisition and investment into Pareto Facilities Management and its subsequent exit to Swiss based Pictet Investments; and
- Advising on a company re-registration from private to public limited status, including the UK’s first re-registration of a private Community Interest Company to a Community Interest Public Limited Company.
Before joining Shoosmiths in September 2015 Adam studied law at The University of Kent before completing the LPC at the University of Law in Guildford. Adam qualified in 2015 and joined the Shoosmiths Thames Valley corporate team in late 2015.
