Anna is a Principal Associate in the banking & finance team, with a focus on leveraged finance and venture debt as well as general corporate lending and portfolio management.

Anna works on both national and international transactions, often working closely with client’s in house management and legal teams as well as with overseas law firms. Anna

On the lender side, Anna works with a number of banks, funds, venture capital and alternative lenders, and recent experience includes advising:

  • a bank its connection with a national chain of vet practices, most recently on the £30m refinance of existing facilities and more generally (and regularly) working closely with our client and the borrower’s in house legal team on managing the practice portfolio, including dealing with each drawdown, numerous practice restructures and creating standard document suites.
  • a US venture fund on US$10m facilities made available to the English branch of an healthtech group including managing the taking of security over a number of sensitive IP assets.
  • Growth Lending on term facilities (and related equity documents) for a number of fast growth business including in healthtech and insurance.
  • a bank on £16.5m of facilities for a manufacturing business including the funding of investor distributions.
  • a bank in relation to a financing in connection with the £70 million acquisition of an offshore cross jurisdictional trust and fund business;
  • Shawbrook Bank Limited as senior lender providing a £20m loan to the Bridge Farm Group, a leading producer and distributer of ornamental plants, flowers and herbs. Included advise on intercreditor position, with Tosca providing mezzanine debt

On the borrower side, Anna works with a number of corporate borrowers and sponsors, and recent experience includes advising:

  • a funeral homes group on their £46m refinance including managing the conditions precedent process for circa 30 group companies.
  • an investment fund on the creation of a new £8.7m (plus accordion facilities) acquisition facility in order to establish a nurseries and education buy and build structure and on the first two acquisitions by the fund.
  • Sullivan Street Partners as sponsor on its investment into a civil engineering business as part of a management buy out, including £14m (+ accordion) facilities from a clearing bank..
  • a manufacturer of beauty products on new facilities from a clearing bank in connection with the acquisition of a new head office building.

Anna has spent time on secondment with the legal team of a clearing bank.
