Becca joined Shoosmiths in 2024 as an associate in the Real Estate Litigation team.
Becca assists national housebuilders, social landlords and investors by providing advisory services and routinely dealing with contentious property matters in the High Court, County Court and First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal (Residential Property).
Becca’s areas of expertise include landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold enfranchisement and residential property portfolio management.
Recent experience:
- Acted for a landlord being threatened with forfeiture proceedings and obtained possession of a residential property which was being sub-let as an Airbnb.
- Acted on behalf of a residents association in relation to challenging the validity of service charges and a subsequent appeal in the Upper Tribunal.
- Acted for a national housebuilder to successfully resolve a boundary dispute within a new development.
- Acted for a claimant in heavily contested possession proceedings and was successful in defeating the entirety of the counterclaim for set-off and damages.
Becca is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
