Fiona is a commercial contracts specialist with deep expertise across sectors including retail, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, FMCG (notably food, beverage, and delivery) and hotel and leisure. She regularly advises house-hold name brands on complex, often international, supply chain arrangements and routes to market, including distribution, agency and distribution, BPO outsourcings (particularly customer experience centres) and facilities/property management. She advises clients on navigating supply chain disruption, building resilient supply chain arrangements and navigating the future and digitisation of smart supply chains.
A former General Counsel of a major PLC division, Fiona brings a strong commercial mindset and a collaborative approach to achieve strategic goals. She understands the pressures in-house teams face and works seamlessly with legal and business stakeholders, including the C-suite level. Her advice is pragmatic, opportunity-focused and balances risk with commercial drivers.
Fiona has experience of legal operations and understands the need for innovation, including the use of AI, to optimise legal team performance.
She co-founded and chaired Shoosmiths’ gender equity network, Balance, and is a passionate advocate for EDI, helping clients drive engagement and team performance through related initiatives.
